Angels of Death Hosts Shinjuku Horror House Pop-Up!

Angels of Death is a psychological horror-adventure game created by Hoshikuzu KRNKRN. First released as freeware through Den-fami Nico Game Magazine in 2015, it is increasing in popularity, having been adapted into a hit manga as well as a TV anime and fittingly, a terrifying haunted house!

While previous years’ versions were held at Makuhari Messe, the site of Internet culture festival Niconico Choukai, this year fans can experience the horror in a bigger and better location: inSPYre, an escape room located in Shinjuku’s Kabukicho area. Having taken over the entire floor in which inSPYre is located, this year’s haunted house promises triple the scale of the previous events.

The experience lasts around half an hour, during which visitors can enjoy scaring themselves silly with any number of terrifying discoveries from the remains of bloody violence to creepy figures and shady paths.

There’s plenty to take in while advancing along the road to freedom, but be wary of any mysterious panels or ancient graves…

After all those scares, you might need to chow down on something to replenish your energy. Thankfully, there’s also a cafe serving a selection of horrifyingly tasty treats.

Bonus coasters and fans are up for grabs, as well as a selection of merchandise.

If you’re feeling up to the challenge, the Angels of Death Horror House will be waiting to welcome you until Aug. 14 at inSPYre. For a few more chills before then, visit the official website and check out the full album below.
