Based on the classic Fawcett/DC comics, Shazam! tells the story of an orphaned 14-year-old Billy Batson (Asher Angel) who is granted the powers of six ancient heroes by a dying wizard named Shazam (Djimon Hounsou). Upon speaking the word “Shazam,” Batson is transformed by a magic lightning bolt into the adult superhero.
