With Ant-Man and the Wasp now in theaters, that just leaves Captain Marvel as the final film left before fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe get to see how our beloved superheroes rebound against Thanos. For now, though, we’ve got a piece of fan art teasing that mighty showdown we’re all waiting to see: Captain Marvel ready to engage the Mad Titan Thanos himself.
The artwork, created by BossLogic, showcases Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers suited up, fist glowing and all, ready to tackle Josh Brolin’s Thanos in the background. Most notably, the villain is rocking the suit and weapon seen in the recently leaked Avengers 4 concept art, as well as his formidable Infinity Gauntlet.

It’s unknown how Captain Marvel will be written into this film, as her solo movie is set in the ’90s, but after the Infinity War post-credits, as well as speculation on the Quantum Realm, theories suggest the microverse could be used to bring her into play.
Carol Danvers has already been touted as the most powerful superhero and future face of the MCU, which makes sense if she’s to truly be an equalizer against the Mad Titan in the fight to come.
