Marvel Celebrates Fantastic Four #1 with Massive Joe Quesada Cover

Marvel comics legend and the publisher’s Chief Creative Officer, Joe Quesada, is whipping up a nifty new variant cover for the hotly anticipated of Marvel’s First Family in Fantastic Four #1. Marvel debuted the cover this Friday, which releases when the issue hits stands this August.

The cover prominently features the planet-eating cosmic entity Galactus, who famously made his debut in the first volume of the ’60s Fantastic Four comic, which also saw the coming of the Silver Surfer to the Marvel comics universe.

The Fantastic Four relaunch comes from longtime Amazing Spider-Man scribe Dan Slott and Spider-Men II artist Sara Pichelli. Thor’s Esad Ribic is illustrating the inaugural issue’s main cover.
