The fifth arc of manga series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, titled Golden Wind, will be getting an anime adaptation to be broadcast from Oct. 2018!
Originally created by Arai Hirohiki, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure follows the members of the Joestar Family, who each find themselves facing off against supernatural antagonists through the generations. Golden Wind is set in Italy, two years after the events of Season 4, and focusses on Giorno Giovanna and his activities in the mafia.
Ahead of the TV premiere, the first episode will be screened at the Italian Institute of Culture in Tokyo and Japan Expo in Paris on Jul 5. The U.S. premiere will follow at Anime Expo in Los Angeles on Jul. 7.
Having directed all previous JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure seasons, Tsuda Naokatsu will serve as chief director, with Kimura Yasuhiro and Takahashi Hideya as directors. Meanwhile, Kobayashi Yasuko is handling series composition. Kishida Takahiro will also join the main staff for the first time as character designer. The anime will be produced by David Production.
