Stranger Things Schwinn Replica Bike Lets You Ride Like Mike

Stranger Things has been quite a trip down memory lane for sci-fi and horror movie lovers of the ’80s. Now, fans can actually relive not just the past, but the charm of the show with a signature bicycle modeled after the one that Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) coasts.

Bike manufacturer Schwinn is capitalizing on the Netflix series’ retro appeal and nostalgia for the toys, fashion and overall aesthetic of the ’80s with this limited-edition replica — made all the more famous as Mike’s mode of transport as he fights off monsters from the Upside Down with his trusted friends.

With only 500 to be made, Mike’s Bike, priced at $379.99, features a springer front suspension fork, banana-style saddle, classic high rise ape bars, “sissy” bar, rear pegs, coaster brake, front light and bell. The item cannot be ordered online — as there wasn’t any digital shopping back in that era — so if you want one, you can only attain it by calling 1-800-SCHWINN.

Hopefully Schwinn has some beefy phone lines. Other retro revivals inspired by the Duffer brothers series led to a Minnesota museum’s website buckling after an overwhelming demand for Dustin’s dinosaur sweatshirt. In addition, artists everywhere have been inspired by the show, creating Atari cartridges and VHS cases to take folks further back down memory lane.
