Following previous footage that highlighted Jigsaw’s return in Netflix’s The Punisher, fans now have a better look at the villain in action.
A new set video from the filming of Season 2 offers a close-up at Jigsaw, scars and all, as he engages in a downtown shootout with John Bernthal’s Frank Castle. This scene clearly picks up their bloody rivalry from the show’s debut season, as Jigsaw looks to even the score with his former comrade.

The video from last week highlighted this same firefight, but with Jigsaw accompanied by some henchmen, looking to exact his revenge on the vigilante. However, that footage was taken from afar. Here, we get better footage of Castle, who fires back with a pistol while taking cover behind a couple of vehicles.
Season 1 of the Netflix series ended with Castle finding out that Billy betrayed him and was actually responsible for his family’s death. He then squared off against his former friend, beating him within an inch of his life while crushing his face into a mirror, thus creating the popular villain we’ve seen in the comics.

In Marvel Comics, Russo — whose face is completely covered in scars — assumed the identity of Jigsaw and became one the most important villains in the Punisher’s rogues gallery. He constantly went after Castle, torturing anyone who partnered with him in his war on crime.
Available now on Netflix, The Punisher Season 1 stars Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Micro, Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Daniel Webber as Lewis Wilson, Shohreh Aghdashloo as Farah Madani and Paul Schulze as Rawlins, with Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio as Marion James. Season 2 does not yet have a release date.
