AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead is committed to making the most out of the first half of its game-changing fourth season. This clip from Sunday’s Episode 7, “The Wrong Side of Where You Are Now,” deals with the immediate fallout of Naomi’s reappearance and John Dorie’s shooting. He’s still alive, but Naomi’s in Alicia’s crosshairs now that it’s clear Naomi’s a Vulture.
Alicia blames the Vultures for Nick’s death — and, we’re assuming, for her mother’s absence — so it makes sense that Naomi has to bean her with an oxygen tank to avoid getting executed right then and there. She and Morgan look like they’re going to get away with Al, but for how long? Alicia’s only getting more trigger happy, and her aim’s definitely improving.

Then Luciana rounds a corner to find Charlie, the little girl she still doesn’t know killed her lover, only to have her whimper, “I’m sorry,” and run away the second Luciana looks away. It’s an interaction that’s so brief and bare that it could only be foreshadowing — it looks like for better or for worse, Charlie’s going to have to answer for intentionally accidentally killing Nick.
The first half of this season is shaping up to feature a lot of senseless death perpetuated by people who don’t really want to kill each other. It could wind up being a bloodbath or it could wind up being the very good reason Morgan Jones has to stick around for a while. “The Wrong Side of Where You Are Now” airs Sunday, June 3 on AMC.
