The Animonozukuri Awards, which aim to celebrate the wonderful world of anime and commercial industry collaboration, has announced the winners for its second year.
In total, 131 entries were submitted for consideration during the applications period with gold, silver, and bronze awards up for grabs in seven categories in addition to the overall Grand Prix.
The Grand Prix winner for 2018 is Sword Art Online for its collaboration with IBM, titled “Sword Art Online: The Beginning Sponsored by IBM”. The project utilized IBM cloud service SoftLayer to bring the world of Sword Art Online’s VRMMO to life.
Other big winners included Gintama with its Chinese Cup Noodle collaboration campaign (second place in the International division), and Fairy Tail for its World Message Art project (third in the Craft Design section).
