Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman Is on Stephen Amell’s Wishlist

It sounds like Stephen Amell is hoping for a team-up between the Man of Steel and the Emerald Archer. While speaking at a panel this past weekend at Motor City Comic Con, the Arrow star was asked which Arrowverse character he’d love to crossover with on the small screen.

“Superman,” replied Amell. “I thought that Tyler did a great job, and I had an opportunity to fangirl over [Smallville star] Tom Welling. I would love for Oliver and Clark to eventually meet. I think that that would be incredible.”

Teen Wolf alum Tyler Hoechlin made several appearances as Superman throughout the second season of fellow Arrowverse series Supergirl, to critical acclaim. While Hoechlin’s Last Son of Krypton has yet to be seen since, the possibility for his return, including a wider integration with Arrowverse, is something fans have been hoping for.

Amell’s Green Arrow certainly would have an interesting dynamic with the Man of Steel: In addition to opposing moral views on how to fight crime, the sixth season finale of Arrow saw the Star City hero incarcerated in a supermax prison for his vigilante activities.

Arrow returns to The CW this fall for its seventh season, airing at 9 p.m. ET on Mondays.
