Harrison Ford Crashes Fellow Han Solo Actor Alden Ehrenreich’s Interview

Harrison Ford may not have been present during the Solo: A Star Wars Story premiere this past Thursday, but the actor still managed to pass the Han Solo baton to Alden Ehrenreich in some other form.

During Saturday’s press junket for the film, leading man Alden Ehrenreich was in the middle of an interview with Entertainment Tonight when he got interrupted by a very special visitor. “Get out of my chair,” Harrison Ford said to a stunned Ehrenreich.

The exchange was captured on video, where we can see the two actors exchange a few pleasantries. Ford even jokes that his presence, alongside Solo director Ron Howard, is “an old-timers convention.”

While Ford has kept surprisingly quiet on the Solo front, this exchange truly represents an endorsment from the actor who originally portrayed the character.

Early fan reactions from the film have been immensely supportive of Ehrenreich’s performance, praising the actor’s ability to honor Ford’s performance while making the role of Han Solo entirely his own.

Directed by Ron Howard from a script by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, Solo: A Star Wars Story stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke as Qi’ra and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca. They’re joined by Thandie Newton as Val, Phoebe Waller-Bridge L3-37, Paul Bettany as Dryden Vos, and Woody Harrelson as Tobias Beckett. The film opens May 25.
