Scott Snyder Denies Possibility of Another DC Comics Reboot

It sounds like the possibility of another line-wide DC Comics reboot is, quite simply, a rumor. At least, according to two very important creatives at the high-profile comics giant: DC Entertainment Co-Publisher Jim Lee, and now veteran scribe Scott Snyder.

Writing on Twitter, Snyder echoed Lee’s rebuke of the reboot rumors, simply saying, “What he said.”

Lee and Snyder’s comments come in the wake of reports that the publisher is looking to kick-off another line-wide reboot. While such an occurrence now seems commonplace in the comic book industry, it seems rather unlikely for DC Comics at this juncture.

DC recently relaunched its entire line with the DC Rebirth initiative in 2016, pleasing both fans and critics alike. To relaunch all their titles again would be unusual, and unexpected.

Since DC Rebirth, the publisher has managed to offer a fresh start for readers on a regular basis, without erasing continuity per se. After the events of the acclaimed crossover Dark Nights: Metal, the Justice League franchise is going through a massive upheaval with the release of Justice League: No Justice, a bold new start for the world’s greatest superheroes.

Justice League: No Justice #1 is in stores now, and issue #2 hits shelves next Wednesday.
