TJ Miller’s Weasel character will not be in the next Deadpool film.
Though Ryan Reynolds declined to comment on his co-star in a a recent profile piece with the New York Times, he did confirm that the actor would not be part of the next film starring the Merc with a Mouth. Since Deadpool 2 is expected to lead into a full X-Force film, the change in scope could provided a natural way to remove the character from the Fox franchise.

TJ Miller has been under fire since allegations of sexual assault came to light last year. While calls were made to have his character removed from Deadpool 2, the studio chose to stick with him. He has also fallen into legal trouble in recent weeks, having been charged with falsely calling in a bomb threat just last month.
Though he remains in Deadpool 2, the actor has been recently removed from several of his ongoing projects. He left Silicon Valley following the show’s fourth season, and Big Hero 6: The Series recast Miller’s previous role as Fred. Now it appears Weasel will not be part of the X-Force film, and with Reynolds recently stating he’s not sure if there will be a Deadpool 3, Miller’s time with the franchise may have come to an end.
Directed by David Leitch, Deadpool 2 features Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus, and Karan Soni as Dopinder, with newcomers Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Cable, Julian Dennison in an unknown role, and Jack Kesy as a villain widely thought to be Black Tom Cassidy. The film hits theaters on June 1.
