Studio 3Hz and Actas’ anime series Princess Principal is set to continue with a six-part film series that will premiere in 2019!
The announcement was made at “Princess Principal STAGE OF MISSION,” a live event that took place on Apr. 29 at the Maihama Amphitheater in Urayasu, Japan. A new visual also accompanied said announcement.
Written by Okouchi Ichirou, Princess Principal is a school-based spy action series that takes place during the 20th century in the fictional Kingdom of Albion, which is split into two districts by a giant wall: the Commonwealth and the Kingdom. At first the Commonwealth comes up with a plot to infiltrate the top seats of power in the Kingdom, but end up cooperating with the princess of the Kingdom after she promises to work for them – in return for staging a coup to become queen. The first season of the TV anime premiered from July to Sept. 2017 with 12 episodes.
Those who are already itching for a first look at the film series will have their chance when the Blu-ray compilation of Princess Principal STAGE OF MISSION goes on sale on Nov. 22. The compilation will contain a trailer, the first sneak peek anyone can get for the movie series.
