Infinity War’s Vision Scene Is Like a Horror Film

Avengers: Infinity War co-director Anthony Russo just revealed that Vision’s scenes in the film were structured “like a horror film.”

In an interview with Empire, Russo explained that the entire film was constructed using different genre templates for each scene, and the scenes with Vision and Scarlet Witch in Stockholm were developed as a horror film. “We structured that scene more like a horror film,” he revealed. “We try to give each sequence in the film a slightly different tone and concept, based on the characters driving that sequence.”

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have enough to be frightened about when it comes to the futures of their favorite superheroes in Avengers: Infinity War, what with Robert Downey Jr.’s recent comments calling the film a “heads-will-roll scenario” and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige’s warning to fans that they should “be careful what they wish for.” Now, it seems, they have extra reason to worry about Vision too.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston and Josh Brolin, among others. The film opens April 27.
