Toyman is dead! Long live Toyman! In a new promo for “Schott Through the Heart,” the next episode of Supergirl, recurring villain Winslow “Toyman” Schott Sr. is declared dead — but his nefarious plans are still in play.
Henry Czerny’s Toyman is, of course, the father of Kara’s good friend Winn. After he escaped prison in Season 1, he tormented his son in the episode “Childish Things,” in which he was sent back to jail. This latest trailer alleges that Toyman was found dead in prison, but a handful of clues — like an exploding casket and flying monkeys — seem to suggest that he isn’t gone just yet.

“Schott Through the Heart,” the fourteenth episode of Season 3, will air on Monday, April 16, the week following the Season 3 finale of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. This will be the first episode since the show went on hiatus on February 5.
Returning Monday, April 16 at 8 p.m. on The CW, Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as the Girl of Steel, David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers and Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott, with appearances by Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant and Tyler Hoechlin as Superman.
