The Honest Trailer for Thor: Ragnarok is finally here. The video doesn’t take long at all have a dig at Marvel Studios, picking fun at the sheer length of its intro — but this is where the criticisms stop. It goes on to claim that Ragnarok “trims all the dead weight of the franchise” and uses a new formula: “not making them suck.”
Thor: The Dark World is notoriously regarded as one of the worst — if not the worst — installments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it was evident that Marvel Studios made some drastic changes for the third installment of the Thor series. As the Honest Trailer explains, Thor Odinson loses a lot: his father, his hair, his hammer, his girlfriend and more. The video even describes the movie as Marvel’s first to feel like a classic comic book. All-in-all, it’s a pretty glowing tribute to the action comedy.
