Mark Hamill Wants Justice League Unlimited


DC Animated Universe alum Mark Hamill has officially joined the call for a Justice League Unlimited animated reunion.

Hamill, who voiced The Joker, Solomon Grundy and Trickster in the animated Justice League series and its follow-up Justice League Unlimited, voiced his support for a potential animated cast reunion on Twitter.

Hamill had been a major player in the DC Animated Universe from the jump, originally from his work on Batman: The Animated Series, where he gained fan and critical acclaim for his portrayal of The Joker. He would return to voice the character in the years following his debut, including in the highly-popular Batman Arkham video game series.

The Internet has been ablaze with speculation since the #JLReunion initiative kicked up on Twitter in November of 2017. Since then, multiple voice actors from Justice League and Unlimited have voiced support for a potential reunion in the form of an animated film. These included Susan Eisenberg, who voiced Wonder Woman, and Andrea Romano, the veteran voice director.

DC has seen success in recent years from its feature-length animated offerings, from adaptations of The Dark Knight Returns and The Killing Joke to The LEGO Batman Movie and the upcoming Teen Titans Go! To The Movies. 

Justice League Unlimited film would be make a lot of fans happy. And who knows — with Young Justice headed back to the small screen, maybe it’s time for the heavy hitters to make a comeback. We hear Mark Hamill is still awfully popular these days.
