A new production schedule seems to be taking shape over at DC Films following the Warner Bros. movie arm’s recent restructuring.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that as Wonder Woman 2 is moving ahead in casting and filming, the studio’s planned Flash film and Batgirl feature are expected to be next to enter active development. The reveal was included in the announcement that Warner Bros. is hiring Chantal Nong as the new VP Production of Warners’ DC film group.

Following the disappointing performance of Justice League, DC Films was restructured under the guidance of Walter Hamada in January. Aside from Aquaman in 2018, and the aforementioned Wonder Woman sequel and Shazam! in 2019, no other films were officially on the docket.
The Flash’s solo movie has long been reported to be based around the Flashpoint crossover event from 2010 that saw Barry Allen alter reality. Talk about a Batgirl film helmed by Joss Whedon began circling in the latter part of 2017.
DC’s next feature film is Aquaman, scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 21. Directed by James Wan, the film stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Amber Heard Mera, Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Temeura Morrison as Thomas Curry, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Ludi Lin as Murk, Michael Beach as Jesse Kane, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna and Willem Dafoe as Nuidius Vulko.
