Illinois’ Hollywood Palms Cinemas has thrown major shade at naysayers who took aim at the cinema and chastised it for its promotion of Ryan Coogler’s smash-hit Black Panther.

In response to the cinema’s “Welcome to Wakanda” tagline to promote the movie, many fans took offense for whatever reason and decided to troll by claiming the fictional Marvel Comics country isn’t real. Well, the cinema stepped up and trolled back with a post of their own.
In a mock apology on Twitter, it stated: “Hollywood Palms apologizes for the error. We did not wish to give the false impression that Wakanda, a country with bulletproof suits that fit in small containers, flying cars and gender equality was a real place.”

As for the rest of the message, well, it definitely poured fuel on the fire for any online troll looking to poke fun at Sokovia, Kamar-Taj and Asgard, showing that the cinema doesn’t have just a strong social media marketing strategy, but a very comic savvy one as well.
