“It’s focused on Lando set during an incident right before the film, with backstory about Lando and L3,” Michael Siglain, creative director for Lucasfilm Publishing told Entertainment Weekly.

With the events in Lando: Double or Nothing closely tied to Solo: A Star Wars Story, Marvel has decided to launch the miniseries the Wednesday after the film arrives in theaters, to avoid any potential spoilers. “Coming out of the film, we think everyone is going to want to read more about Lando,” Siglain added.

Along with the new Lando miniseries, Solo: A Star Wars Story will see other books released that will expand its story, offering fans and readers the opportunity to learn more about the film’s cast of characters and settings. Included in that list are Last Shot (Daniel Jose Older), which will have a story focused on Han Solo’s wife Sana Starros, who debuted in Marvel’s ongoing Star Wars comic; Most Wanted (Rae Carson); The Art of Solo (Phil Szostak); a Chewbacca-focused middle-grade series called The Mighty Chewbacca: Forest of Fear and more.
