The folks over at That Hashtag Show have been following the casting on DC’s first live action series for their forthcoming streaming service, and have confirmed the appearances of such characters as Hawk and Dove, as well as teased possible appearances of characters such as Wonder Girl and Roy Harper. And although the production has seemingly been in production for a bit now, it appears the series isn’t finished adding heroes just yet. The latest character breakdown from this report has teased the inclusion of a relatively new Teen Titans character, Kiran Singh, aka Solstice.
[MONICA SAINI]Female, early 20s-early 30s, East Indian. Has the mentality of a survivor and the scars along with it. Unsettled and a little unusual. Orphan. Limited dialogue in her first appearance. Must be familiar with Hindi. POSSIBLY RECURRING GUEST STAR.
The character of Solstice was created by writer J. T. Krul and artist Nicola Scott and made her debut in Teen Titans #88 in October 2010. Solstice’s powers grant her the ability to generate light energy that she can use against her enemies. While her original costume was made of solid light, the New 52 reboot altered the character’s costume while retaining her abilities. These days, Solstice sports a much different look when in costume with her body being altered to resemble black smoke that emits blue light. It’s unknown which look Titans would use should Solstice be confirmed to appear.
