Justice League’s Superman Deleted Scene Is Less Than 2 Minutes Long

Fans have been holding out hope for an extended cut of Justice League when the film is released digitally next month, but that doesn’t seem to be the plan just yet.

It turns out that the deleted scenes that are expected to be included on the home release will be of a disappointing length. According to a post on the Blu-ray.com forum, “The Return of Superman” deleted scene will add only an additional 1 minute and 52 seconds onto the final runtime — a far cry from the Zack Snyder cut that some fans have demanded.

It’s difficult to imagine that this brief sequence will reintroduce the significant amount of footage shot by Snyder that didn’t make the final film. We’re more likely to see a small scene of Superman deciding to join the Justice League in the fight against Steppenwolf, rather than get a view of that conversation he had with Alfred.

Justice League arrives digitally on Feb. 13, and on Blu-ray and DVD on March 13. The film stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.
