Cavill’s Superman Gets the Hot Toys Treatment in Glorious New Figure

Hot Toys has unveiled its new 1/6th-scale Superman collectible figure, offering fans a detailed look at the Man of Steel, who was brought back to life in Zack Snyder’s Justice League movie to fight off Steppenwolf and his Parademons from Apokolips.

Standing 31.5 centimeters tall, the figure boasts over 30 points of articulation, and a series of hand-crafted head sculpts designed to capture Henry Cavill’s expressions and overall likeness from the movie. What’s apparent is that this is probably the dark, dour version Snyder had in mind before Joss Whedon took over because it focuses on Superman’s non-humorous disposition.

The sculpts depict him in a very serious mode, even angry when he’s unleashing his heat vision, and yes, lacking that smile he sported throughout the film’s mustache-gate controversy. Also included are a newly developed muscular body, a finely detailed and meticulously tailored costume with metallic Superman symbol on the chest, and the designers’ brightened-up use of Superman’s iconic red, yellow and blue colors.

Last but not least, the collectible also comes with a specially designed Justice League-themed figure stand with the hero’s nameplate and the movie’s logo. The figure is expected to ship between January and March 2019.

Justice League is released digitally on Feb. 13, and on Blu-ray March 13. The film stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.
