Fans of the Netflix hit video game adaptation Castlevania now have an idea of when Season 2 will hit television, and according to series writer Warren Ellis, it’s this Summer.

Immediately following a well-received debut season last July, a second season was green-lit but no date was announced. Fans can now rest easy though as Ellis has taken to Twitter to inform them on the details of the release. He tweeted: “FAQ: people keep asking, so I guess word didn’t get around? We’re coming back this summer, for eight episodes, from @Netflix.”

Ellis helped engineer this adaptation of Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, along with executive producer Adi Shankar, famous for his violent Power Rangers fan-short, and it won over fans via its anime style and gory, adult-themed storytelling. However, it was just four episodes long and left fans thirsty for more.

At the end of the season, Trevor Belmont, voiced by The Hobbit’s Richard Armitage, teamed up with the mage Sypha (Alejandra Reynoso) and Dracula’s son, Alucard (James Callis), to go hunt the king of the vampires for the havoc he’s been wreaking on the bleak world of Wallachia. Now it’s all but confirmed that in just about six months, we’ll be able to sink our teeth into their big confrontation and Dracula’s war on humanity for killing his wife.
