The Flash Will Introduce DC Comics Villain Hyrax

The Flash will have a new enemy to face when the show returns from its winter break: Hyrax. ThatHashtagShow has uncovered a breakdown for the character, which offers a glimpse of what’s to come in the back half of Season 4.

According to the character breakdown,

[VERONICA DALE] Mid 20s-30s. Female, an Environmental Activist (back when she was still sane) turned Animal Liberator turned Domestic Terrorist, who’s the leader of the Eden Corps — a cult-like organization that proposes to turn back the clock to a pre-industrial age — and if millions of innocent people have to die in the process, well, that’s just tough… LARGE PRINCIPAL

The comic book version of Hyrax has a similar story. Debuting in Chuck Dixon and Jim Aparo’s Green Arrow #97, Hyrax appeared as eco-terrorist and leader of the Eden Corps, just like she will in the show. In the comic, she and Oliver Queen entered into a romantic relationship, though not for very long. After three issues, she was shot to death, but not before she strapped Green Arrow to a bomb set to destroy Metropolis.

In The Flash midseason finale, DeVoe framed Barry for his murder. After he transferred his consciousness into a new body, DeVoe stabbed his former body with a knife and left it, battered and bloody, in Barry’s apartment. When Barry stopped by to stop an alarm, he discovered the body just in time for the police to come crashing through his door. Barry made the decision not to run and allowed himself to be arrested for the murder of Clifford DeVoe, who had a restraining order against him.

Martin as Joe West, with guest appearances from Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West and Hartley Sawyer as the Elongated Man.
