Though the return of Young Justice was announced in 2016, fans will have to hold off a while longer for the the animated series’ long-anticipated Season 3.
Series producer Greg Weisman has revealed that the show won’t be arriving until late 2018. Asked on Twitter when the show would make its return, Weisman responded, “All I know for sure is fourth quarter 2018,” which would place the show’s debut sometime after September 2018.

Young Justice aired for two seasons, from 2011 to 2013, on Cartoon Network before ending with the epic “Invasion” storyline. After years of lobbying by fans and creators alike, Warner Bros. Animation finally announced in 2016 that the series would return for a third season. Although it was widely assumed Season 3 would air on Cartoon Network alongside Teen Titans Go! and the new Justice League Action, the series’ return instead landed on Warner Bros.’ DC-themed streaming service alongside a live-action Titans series based on DC Comics’ Teen Titans characters.
Executive produced by Sam Register, and produced by series creators Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman, Young Justice: Outsiders will find the teen heroes facing their greatest challenge as they fight meta-human trafficking “and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy.”
