Nick Blood Returns to Help Fitz Out of a Jam

Last week’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. concluded with the revelation that Leo Fitz (Iain De Castecker) had indeed managed to travel in time to reunite with Coulson and the other Agents on the space station known as the Lighthouse. This week’s episode, “Rewind,” will explain exactly how Fitz managed to time travel to save his friends. While the details remain a mystery, a new clip form the episode reveals that Fitz’s journey will require the help of a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent: Nick Blood’s Lance Hunter.

Lance Hunter first joined the S.H.I.E.L.D. cast in Season 2, having been the sole survivor of a mission outsourced to Isabelle Hartley and her group of mercenaries. As an Agent, Hunter eventually met back up with his ex-wife, Bobbi Morse (Adrienne Palicki), and the two became series regulars for both Seasons 2 and 3.

During that time, they rekindled their relationship, but left the organization after taking the fall for killing the Russian Minister of Defense. Their departure was meant to set up a spinoff series titled Most Wanted starring Palicki and Blood as their respective characters, but ABC ultimately passed on the show.

Airing Fridays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 5 stars Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Henry Simmons, Ian De Caestecker, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, Elizabeth Henstridge, Nick Blood, Jeff Ward, Eve Harlow, Pruitt Taylor Vince and Coy Stewart.
