Star Wars: The Last Jedi star John Boyega isn’t as enamored with porgs as the rest of the Internet. Boyega dished on his relationship with porgs in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
“I just remember doing some stuff and seeing a lot of porgs around,” Boyega explained. “And they are interesting, but for me, I had a love/hate relationship with them. They’re very, very cute, but when you put them in a bunch, in holes, on the Millennium Falcon, that’s when they start to become really, really freaky.”

“They’ve got real big eyes, all bunched together,” he continued. “There were, like, little tiny ones and little big ones that would just…yeah, it looks like a rash.” Just a month out from The Last Jedi‘s release, porgs remain a bit of a mystery to Star Wars fans. However, it’s possible that Boyega knows something the rest of us do not, which means there may be some porg-shaped surprises in the upcoming film.
