LOOK: 10 New Star Wars: The Last Jedi Photos


Among the many scenes depicted in a newly revealed series of photos from director Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi, fans get a glimpse at a scene in which Kylo Ren brings Rey to Supreme Leader Snoke, in addition to a tease of the First Order’s nifty AT-M6s.

Disney and Lucasfilm released the new batch of hi-resolution photos as part of Entertainment Weekly’s upcoming Star Wars-centric issue, set to boast loads of new interviews and teases of what’s in store for the eighth Star Wars epic.

The Rey/Kylo Ren scene mentioned above leads to the Snoke torture sequence we caught a glimpse of in the most recent trailer for the film which, according to Johnson, isn’t great for those that want to go into the film completely unscathed by spoilers.

Disney and Lucasfilm previously announced a brand-new Star Wars trilogy that will kick-off presumably after Episode IX hits screens. According to an official press release, The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson will creatively oversee the new trilogy, and write and direct the first entry in the series. It will reportedly step away from the Skywalkers, opting to focus on another corner of the galaxy far, far away.

Additionally, Disney and Lucasfilm are moving forward with a live-action Star Wars TV series that will be released on the upcoming Disney-owned streaming service. According to a report, the streaming service is expected to kick-off in late-2019, though a launch date for the Star Wars show has yet to be revealed.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi, written and directed by Rian Johnson, opens in theaters December 15 and stars Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke, Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, Benicio Del Toro as ‘DJ’, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico, Laura Dern as Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo, and the late Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa.
