Tracking initially had the third Thor entry slated to open anywhere between $90 million and $100 million, however, the latest numbers suggest the film will open above $100 million when it debuts in movie theaters stateside next month. While tracking is never a guarantee, should the numbers hold this would mark for the biggest opening for the Thor franchise, well above the first film’s $65.7 million and Thor: The Dark World‘s $85.7 million domestic opening.

Marvel Studios officially kicked off their promotional campaign for the feature earlier this year, debuting a trailer set to Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song,” and managed to successfully revamp what has often been seen as Marvel’s weakest franchise. Of course, the incredibly positive buzz hasn’t hurt either.

Ragnarok is currently sitting at an impressive 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. For comparisons sake, the previous two installments both failed to reach over 77%, with The Dark World falling to a barely fresh 66% in the end. With positive word of mouth, it’s highly possible Thor: Ragnarok hits $115 million in its opening weekend when all is said and done.

Debuting Nov. 3, director Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett and Karl Urban.
