Mob Psycho 100 is headed to the stage in January 2018! Previously adapted as a TV anime, the franchise began as a web manga created by ONE and published via Shogakukan’s MangaOne app. The story follows regular high school boy Kageyama Shigeo who has been given the nickname “mob” due to his extreme lack of presence. However, Kageyama has secret ESP abilities and is deliberately keeping a low profile out of fear that his growing powers may cause harm to those around him.
For the upcoming stage version, voice actor Ito Setsuo will reprise his role from the TV anime leading the cast as Kageyama Shigeo. Kawajiri Keita (SUGARBOY) will write and direct the stage play which is due to run from Jan. 6 to 14, 2018 at The Galaxy Theater, Tokyo.
Mob Psycho 100 will also be getting a live action drama adaptation starring Hamada Tatsuomi which is set to begin broadcasts in January.
There’s still a while to go until the stage play premieres, so keep up with details on the stage play at its official website.
