New Square Enix Game Dia Horizon Turns Into Surreal Anime!

Dia Horizon, a TV anime based on Square Enix’s new smartphone game by the same name, will air from Oct. 2 late night on Tokyo MX. It’s not what you’d usually expect from a fantasy, unless you expected to see the world of the game spiced with salaryman gag comedy in 5-minute 3DCG flash animation episodes!

Dia Horizon is a fantasy mixed media project launched this year by Square Enix where the story develops on multiple platforms including novel, comic, anime, and game.

The anime is produced by Fanworks ( Ani ni Tsukeru Kusuri wa Nai!, Hagane Orchestra ) and directed by Kasugamori Haruki ( Life! Anime, Sergeant Frog ). Takabayashi Yuki, who also writes scenarios for smartphone games, will be working on screenwriting and series composition.

As in the game, the cast will feature Yamashita Seiichiro as Ryan, Tanaka Aimi as Sophia, Yamamura Hibiku as Ingrit, Serizawa Yu as Rete, Fujiwara Keiji as Wolf, and Sakurai Takahiro as Victor.
