David Ayer wrote and directed Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad, he’s attached to the upcoming Gotham City Sirens movie, and now he’s teasing the Joker & Harley Quinn movie that’s in development.

The image Ayer posted was taken from an iconic scene in Suicide Squad, where Harley Quinn is wearing her famous jester costume and the Joker is wearing a suit — bringing the “Tango With Evil” artwork from Alex Ross to life. The reason this image is seen as a tease is that Ayer has posted images online before, signifying his involvement in projects such as Gotham City Sirens.

Crazy, Stupid, Love love scribes Glenn Ficarra and John Requa are in final negotiations to write and direct the Joker & Harley Quinn movie, with Margot Robbie and Jared Leto reprising their roles, as revealed last month. Nothing more is known about the spin-off movie just yet, though if Ayer is indeed involved in the movie then we can expect more information sooner rather than later.

Leto and Robbie are both set to return for Suicide Squad 2, which is currently without a release date, and the duo are also expected to re-team for Gotham City Sirens.
