Today is National Dog Day and to celebrate, Marvel Entertainment has released a brand-new poster for the Inhumans TV series’ true star, Lockjaw, the massive but lovable teleporting dog.

With less than a week until Inhumans finally debuts its first two episodes in IMAX, Marvel and ABC have begun to ramp up their marketing for the series, dropping yet another poster for the television event, this time turning their focus to Lockjaw. While some fans may have been left underwhelmed with the CGI work on Lockjaw from the first few marketing materials, if the below poster is anything to go by, it would seem they’ve refined his look for the final product. This, of course, shouldn’t be too surprising, as Marvel TV chief Jeph Loeb and company have previously stated that the show was still very much a “work in progress” following the timid response to the pilot.

For Marvel and ABC, turning their focus towards the lovable Lockjaw is a smart marketing move this late in the game. Much like Groot stole Guardians of the Galaxy, Lockjaw could very well steal the show Inhumans.
Even better? For those looking to adopt their own Lockjaw — well, as close as one can get to a large teleporting dog, that is — IMAX is hosting an adoption event today to promote Inhumans. If you live close by, be sure to check it out as Lockjaw will apparently be on hand.
