The Disastrous Life of Saiki K., an upcoming live action movie based on Aso Shuichi’s popular comedy manga, has revealed a video of three intermissions!
Directed by Fukuda Yuichi, who is also the director and screenwriter of the movie, these clips feature Yamazaki Kento (Saiki Kusuo) in surreal situations where he’s barely visible.
In the first one, he’s so far you can’t even really tell he’s the real Yamazaki Kento (even though he says so himself!). In the second one, he’s trying to score a point for 30 seconds without success. In the end, he just says, “I didn’t score, but you want me to, don’t you” in that usual emotionless voice of his. In the last piece, he’s standing in front of the blackboard with an army of students passing in front of him, but he just remarks “There was a lot of interference, but did you see Yamazaki Kento there?”, unfazed by the things happening around him.
The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. revolves around, obviously, the disastrous life of Saiki Kusuo! A high school student, Saiki actually possesses a wide range of unusual powers that are so dreadful they could destroy the world… but luckily for regular humans, he just wants to live as normally as he can! Wacky classmates and strange situations make that wish just a bit hard to grant, though.
The live action film The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. will be coming to theaters on Oct. 21.
