A woman performing a motorcycle stunt on the set of Deadpool 2 has died, according to the Vancouver police. It is believed the woman is the stunt double for Zazie Beetz, who plays Domino in the sequel.
“Vancouver Police can confirm that a female stunt driver has died on the set of Deadpool during a stunt on a motorcycle,” the local police department said in a statement. “VPD officers are at the scene, along with officers from WorkSafeBC. More information will be released when it is available.”
Witnesses told CTV News that a motorcycle stunt was being filmed at the Jack Poole Plaza when she lost control and went airborne. The bike would then crash through a window on the ground-floor of Shaw Tower. The unidentified woman was loaded into an ambulance and taken to a nearby hospital.
