Han Solo Behind-The-Scenes Set Videos

While details on the early days of the Millennium Falcon are still being kept under wraps, director Ron Howard took to Twitter to share some behind-the-scenes footage of the untitled Han Solo solo anthology film. The first clip he shared from the production shows the team “rehearsing a crane shot” as they waited for sundown.

The second clip sheds a tad more light on what the story involves, as Howard puts a derelict speeder on display. In the Star Wars universe, fans have seen multiple versions of speeders but this one bears similarities to the ones we saw in Return of the Jedi, Attack of the Clones as well as animated series such as The Clone Wars and Rebels.

Recently, Howard reassured fans that the film “is coming along great” after he took over the director’s chair from Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Despite the directing duo’s exit, the movie appears to be rolling on without any hitches, with Donald Glover, who is playing a young Lando Calrissian, praising Howard as “such a legend” and adding that “[Howard] knows exactly what the vision for what he is doing is.”

Based on a script by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, the Han Solo film stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Michael K. Williams and Woody Harrelson. The as-yet-untitled movie arrives in theaters on May 25, 2018.
