Marvel announced this afternoon at Comic-Con International that it has partnered with comiXology for a line of exclusive digital comics, beginning with Immortal Iron Fists, written by Kaare Andrews and illustrated by Afu Chan.

Formerly known as Iron Fists, the comic was first promoted by Marvel in July 2016, in the publisher’s catalog of Marvel NOW! titles.
Available beginning Friday on comiXology and Kindle, the six-issue biweekly series follows Pei, introduced in Andrews’ Iron Fist: The Living Weapon as a young female monk from K’un-Lun and the youngest person ever to bear the mark of the Iron Fist. As Pei faces the trials of school, Danny Rand confronts his greatest challenge yet — training her. But even as they come to terms with each other, a growing threat emerges that will require more than one pair of Iron Fists to defeat.
The digital-first series joins Marvel’s Iron Fist, which launched in March from writer Ed Brisson and artist Mike Perkins.
In addition to writing and illustrating Iron Fist: The Living Weapon, Andrews is known for Spider-Man: Reign, Renato Jones: The One % and his covers for The Incredible Hulk. Chan’s credits include Halogen and Spera from BOOM! Studios.
Immortal Iron Fists will be available for $2.99 on comiXology and Kindle, and for free to comiXology Unlimited subscribers.
